Maurice is a CIPFA qualified accountant with a joint honours degree in Economics and Public Administration. He has worked in, or consulted to, the public sector for over 25 years.
He originally worked for the London Borough of Southwark where he qualified as a public sector accountant. Whilst at Southwark he was responsible for the Housing Reveue Account and the implementation of Compulsory Competitive Tendering. He was also responsible for a number of local authority companies.
He was then recruited by Cooper & Lybrand (PwC) where he developed new financial management techniques for the emerging government agencies. He also worked on Project CAPITAL where he was responsible for delivering an awareness education and training programme across the Ministry of Defence.
On joining PA Consulting Group he worked on innovative and complex property based PFI deals for the Metropolitan Police (where he was retained to provide ongoing commercial advice for over six years) and on IT services based PPP deals across government, including central government departments (eg MoD DII and HMRC ASPIRE) and government agencies (MCA and and QCA, NAA).
Maurice has also acted as an interim Director of Finance for a number of organisations
Melanie is a qualified solicitor. After qualifying Melanie worked for Reynolds Porter Chamberlain, Field Fisher Waterhouse and the Solicitors Indemnity Fund. Melanie specialised in professional indemnity, medical negligence and personal injury work.
Most recently Melanie has been working with "Harris Rosenberg" providing a service to the not for profit sector on identifying and then negotiating savings for clients on their utility bills.
